| Recipe Name | Steamed Halibut -- submitted by Surfin Seafood customer Anne-Gigi Chan |
| Description | Serves 2 |
| content | This is a scaled-down version of what you usually get at a Chinese banquet (which usually serves the whole grouper). It hardly requires any effort and I consider it one of my ‘fast food’ recipes. The halibut can be substituted with lingcod. This recipe serves two if this is the only course, but can serve up to six if it is part of a traditional multicourse Chinese meal.
Ingredients:
8 oz Halibut filet
¼ cup green onion, chopped
3 slices of fresh ginger
3 tablespoons light soy sauce
Water for steaming
Pat dry filet with paper towel, place in heat-proof dish. Place ginger slices on fish, sprinkle green onion and add soy sauce. Place in steamer or on steaming rack and steam for 12 to 15 minutes (this includes time for water to boil).
Serve with steamed rice. |
